Takin' it easy in Paradise, after the break!
"Composing a New Concert Bucket List..."
Soundtrack for this Adventure:
"A Town Called Paradise" by Tiësto & Zac Barnett
You might run out of pathways when you've been following a passionate hobby for over a decade. I certainly did around 2016. This adventurer was burnt out, frustrated with Wordpress, scared of topical horrible trends happening in the live music scene, and noticing signs that everything was coming to a close. All the hunts that once drove us were crossed off for their were no more mountains left to climb.
My Concert Bucket List felt like it was nearing its finale.
Felt fulfilled honestly as I pivoted to being preoccupied with a flourishing dream job. For a bit. "That Buzzing Sound" became louder when 2017 opened, but I never intended to go back to that "Concertholic" ever again. Wanted to just share music, talk to musicians, tell stories, share opinions, and possibly keep creating my life's soundtrack. If I ended up covering a concert that'd be a major bonus for the site.
Which is kinda what has been happening since 2023.
Seeing Darren Hayes at the Wiltern that summer wrote the prologue to this new live event saga as my Sister continues to sponsor some of the final few names left on my Concert Bucket List (like Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Paula Abdul, John Fogerty, Montell Jordan, T-Pain, & XZIBIT.) Bit of a spoiler, but there is another coming up in August. Should be an epic event that I'll report back on in a few months!
So who's left? I might've put together a list below... if you're curious?

Maybe Taylor Swift too? Only if it's a intimate venue. Don't want to see any of these artists in an arena like SoFi or the Rose Bowl. Medium size to small buildings only. Picky and bougie. That's the modern me sometimes. I will jump at the chance to see comedian Bo Burnham in a heartbeat too. Spend a lot of time listening to his comedy projects. Which are more parody based than normal standup. That counts!
Have a feeling I'll find myself at a music festival or two in the years to come. I still want to experience New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo, Rolling Loud, and Bottlerock. Not to mention it has been my dream to watch a concert at Red Rocks. Any lineup will do. Just want to be in the arena. Vibing.
That's all future talk. Maybe we'll knock off every name? Here's hoping! Thanks for reading!
Below, as a bonus, you'll find some candid insider pictures from our recent Las Vegas Birthday trip wherein we visited some impressive shops: The One Piece Cafe Pop Up Restaurant, World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (from Pawn Stars), Rogue Toys (also from Pawn Stars), and the limited time Eagles Fan Experience at the Venetian Resort for their Third Encore at the Las Vegas Sphere... which featured a full replica of Hollywood's iconic Doug Weston's Troubadour (aka my concert home court)!
Enjoy!
