A jam-pack session, after the break!
Greetings listeners!
Almost forgot about this feature as this weekend was busy as all heck. Luckily, I didn't hold back and placed 150 buzzworthy new songs that passed into our orbit during April 2025! This author spent a lot of time listening to Jazz, indie pop rock, heavy metal, movie soundtracks (like Drop & Sinners), and Bon Iver... which would make sense if you read our Record Store Day blurb. Big thanks to all those folks who checked out that adventure. Had a blast putting it together.
Right now I'm dancing between Gigi Perez's 'At The Beach, In Every Life' & Emma-Jean Thackray's 'Weirdo'. Already scored them over on Musicboard alongside the Sinners' Original Soundtrack. We just saw the movie yesterday & absolutely loved it! Wasn't really a horror movie in my opinion. Felt more genre-bending than just a cliche label, you know? Really need to tune over to Ludwig's score next.
Like I mentioned above, I'm sharing over 9 hours of new music in this playlist. Definitely enough to get us to the end of May, right? There were so many new senders in the inbox this month that it warmed my heart each time I came across a fresh request. Reminds me of the early days of 2017!
The first song below is from That Buzzing Sound favorite, Lexytron, whom made her return after five years with a brand new single - "Kiss Me Quick". The song has been generating plenty of buzz since releasing a few weeks ago and I'm happy to help support her comeback as well. Lexy holds a special place here because she was the first artist I ever interviewed for our podcast. Extremely happy that her musical journey has entered a new era!
