A very goofy summer night, after the break!
Disney '80s-'90s Celebration in Concert @ The Hollywood Bowl (07/19/24)
ft. Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Sarah Hicks (conductor), Jodi Benson, Corbin Bleu, Bill Farmer, Aisha Jackson, Arielle Jacobs, Adam J. Levy, Krysta Rodriguez, Susan Egan, and special guest Members of LA’s DC6 Singers Collective
It's been a few weeks since we visited The Hollywood Bowl for one of their special Disney Concert showcases. They happen so often with so many IPs that they're probably preparing for the next one as I type these late words.
Luckily my sister treated me to their 80s & 90s music event highlighting all the iconic musical cinema moments from our youth back in July. You know the songs from Aladdin, Beauty & The Beast, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Hercules, Pocahontas, Toy Story, and many more Disney & Pixar film soundtracks, right? They are ingrained in our souls. This concert captures those old VHS days when we watched Disney Sing-Alongs for hours or the Disney Afternoon TV block. Belting out these legendary songs that soundtracked my childhood sagas alongside fellow Disney fans into the Hollywood Summer Night.
When thinking about concert bucket lists, you probably wouldn't include artists like Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel), Susan Egan (voice of Meg), and/or Bill Farmer (longtime voice actor for Goofy) to your lists outright. Unless you were an Ultra Diamond of D23? Maybe? This author was definitely in that ignorant boat. So to have these iconic performers a part of this long-running Concert Showcase series means more than you can possibly know. Even if it wasn't originally planned. Sometimes those moments happen and you have to enjoy every minute of it.
They were legendary. So was the Disney Concert cast alongside them. You can feel the true appreciation for everything presented by the House of Mouse. Made for a memorable showcase where I felt more like a concert & Disney fan than someone covering this event for his decade-long hobby. Gonna chase more moments like that moving forward.
Enjoy the photos!

Photography Notes: Nothing too complicated. Used my Samsung Galaxy FE. Felt overall happy with how everything came out.
