Our 2026 resolutions, after the break!
Greetings... and Happy New Year!
Hopefully you've been relaxing and healing like we have. Christmas week went by slow, but now the hours are speeding up. Our winter break vacation is halfway over. Boo! It's nice going on day trips around the hometown. Been acting like a local tourist. That's always fun.
I appreciate all the clicks on our 2025 "Listened List" series! Had a blast reminiscing on our new music year that I think the feature will continue into 2026. What do you think about seasonal checkpoint blurbs with star ratings beside a paragraph of random thoughts? Might be a great alternative to reviewing everything on Musicboard? Really want to move away from the apps.
The only site I've considered sharing these posts with would be Substack... probably. Sure I'll be competing with better (music) writers. On the other hand... the competition might raise my "word vomit" to the "much needed" next level. The day job and reading more books this year has unlocked new feats for sure.
Gotta keep making positive, health, and educating choices a habit while avoiding YT marathons in 2026. That's my secret resolution for the year.
Expect nothing else new to our posting schedule moving forward. The Monday Mixtapes, Journals, and Concert Showcases... like The Lost Years Series... will continue. The next journal (spoiler) will feature an unexpected positive announcement of sorts. Look forward to that blurb in February! Still working behind the scenes to manifest it. My hands loved the relaxed 2025 schedule. Only surpassed their limits recently. They'll get over it in a few days.
We'll be away from the keyboard all next week until February! Don't worry... our December MM hits on Monday! You might see layout and graphic changes sporadically during that time. There are too many out-dated links on the sidebar. Gotta freshen everything up a bit. Might even restore the archive? Another objective for different time. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
