Netflix is a Joke Festival - Opening Night (ft. Jerry Seinfeld, Sebastian Maniscalco, Nate Bargatze, & Jim Gaffigan) at The Hollywood Bowl

In my many years of music blogging... I have never featured a Comedy Show before. Have only been to a few in my lifetime, but it was my big Sis's birthday and she wanted to see Jerry Seinfeld (who was one of my Father's favorite comedians). "Breaking Bad" & "Seinfeld" were the last two shows My father completed before he passed away. So it means a lot to support someone who kept the smile on our faces during those turbulent days. Seeing Sebastian, Nate, & Jim were a huge bonus on top of all that.
To keep all this short and sweet, My Sis and I had a blast! Everything was perfect. We took the Hollywood Bowl shuttle from Ovation Hollywood (located on the 3rd floor towards the back) to and from the Bowl. Our seats were fantastic as I placed us in front of the video screen, off to the side. Plenty of space around us to stretch out. She really loved Sebastian Maniscalco and I dug Nate Bargatze immensely. Both Seinfeld & Jim were fine. I never have been a big fan of the latter, but dug some of his tales.
That's about it! Hope next year's The Netflix is a Joke Festival makes an all-access pass much like SXSW because there were so many Stand-up shows across the city all week that it's unfortunate real hardcore fans will be blowing so much money on Tickets, gas, & fees. There are better ways to roll out these shows because we would've gone to almost everything if we all had access... you know?
